- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I went in after being referred over by the cvs minute clinic where the NP there prescribed antibiotics and said they cannot write anything for pain but I needed to go to urgent care based on her eval. I had a dentist appt scheduled for next week as I have an tooth that is abcessed. I checked in at nextcare and immediately go back but the NP there tells me that since I have been prescribed tramadol in the past by my ortho (broken leg) that I can take aleve or see a dentist next week. I felt like the smallest person on the planet, a common drug seeker. She said they don’t see people for chronic pain and I explained it isn’t chronic pain, the tooth just started hurting on Friday and I called a dentist and they told me it would be wed before I can come in. I feel like my head is in a vice, can barely swallow because my mouth is swollen but I’m just a common seeker to her. I’ve worked in medical field for 15 years now and I understand there are ppl that use dental pain as excuse but when u can clearly see there is an infection u should have compassion for the person dealing with the pain instead of treating them like a druggie. I will never step foot in that place again. I left crying cuz I felt so bad and like I didn’t matter at all.May 18, 2017by Amy Batt
- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Completely disgusted. Went in with a sore throat, hadn't eaten in 2 days, could barely talk. They told me I had strep throat and I left with an antibiotic and lidocaine to gargle with. The lidocaine wasn't doing anything for the pain so I caved and called them. They rudely told me that would have to wait 24 hours atleast since the antibiotic hadn't kicked in yet. Apparently, they are more worried about prescribing pain meds vs the actual care of their patients. Next time, I will wait at the ER.December 15, 2016by Sarah McKernan
